The members of this Directory are ethical and creative makers, have shown craftsmanship in their products and are independent businesses. The recognises and supports the beauty of handmade, handcrafted products.
Perfect gifts for those who want to support British independent businesses and the wool, weaving and farming industries.
FelinFach's guiding principles for its products and processes are the three words natural, traditional and handmade. Our Welsh blankets and throws are woven on traditional looms using the skills and methods of the last 100 years and these looms produce handmade blankets in limited numbers. We use only natural dyes in our all our hand dyed products, be they yarn, cotton, silk and wool scarves. We also make hand bound books and we resell the most gorgeous, vegan friendly handmade soap, made in north Wales - a beautiful way to get any dye of your hands!
FelinFach is a long term supporter of many Welsh and UK organisations all of which demonstrate our commitment and support to the Welsh and UK wool, weaving and farming industries. We are an official supporter of the Campaign for Wool, an organisation established to promote the sustainable use of UK wool. FelinFach is also a member of Make it in Britain.
Please see our listing on the From Britain with Love website at FelinFach Natural Textiles.
Our company, FelinFach Natural Textiles is located in the heart of the Preseli area of Pembrokeshire near to Boncath. We design Welsh blankets, Welsh woollen blankets and so, so cosy throws which are traditionally woven at Welsh mills. All our woollen products are made from pure new wool - they are not used, 'vintage' or second-hand. We also design and make natural hand dyed yarn, cotton, silk and wool scarves and other handmade products. We are a proud supporter of the Campaign for Wool, Global Welsh and Wales International.

Nobody loves natural fibres more than we do. Cotton, silk, cashmere, mohair and of course wool. We love them because they are less damaging to the environment, they are natural sustainable products, their breathable qualities make them soft and airy against the skin. It is therefore unfortunate that moths also like natural fibres and we need to control and eliminate them, preferably in a natural way!!!

All of FelinFach's hand dyed yarn and fabric are dyed using natural dyes, both plant and insect extract natural dyes on site at our FelinFach Studio in Pembrokeshire, Wales. Our dye recipes include traditional and natural dye stuff such as Indigo, Madder, Weld, Indigo, Logwood to name a few. There is a beauty and depth of colour to natural dye that becomes more beautiful with age

Offas Dyke is a 177 mile (285 kilometre) footpath that was officially opened on 10th July 1971. It is one of Britain's National Trails and is also Britain’s longest ancient monument. In the 8th century, King Offa of Mercia erected this wide border rampart to separate Wales and England. Much later, in 1971 Offa's Dyke path was placed alongside it, from Chepstow in South Wales to Prestatyn in the North.
