Unique handmade yarn bowls with our distinctive and much-loved leather handles in a variety of designs and colours. All yarn bowls are individually handmade in Wales, designed for knitting and crochet.

All yarn bowls are large enough to easily hold a 100g skein with a number of holes for your needles or hooks. All yarn bowls are thrown by hand, the leather handles are made and finished by hand at the FelinFach studio. We use vegetable tanned leather, sourced from an English tannery using traditional tanning processes.

Yarn Bowls - Combining Style, Beauty and Function
- What is a Yarn Bowl? Yarn bowls are simple yet useful tools for knitting and crochet. A yarn bowl keeps your yarn clean, tidy and tangle-free while you work. Our yarn bowls are made from ceramic, or stoneware. They have a curved 'swirl', a cut area that lets the yarn slide through smoothly.
- How to use a yarn bowl? Place your skein of yarn into the bowl and thread your yarn through the 'swirl' hole on the side. As you knit, your yarn should now come out of the hole, tangle-free.
- What are the holes for in a yarn bowl? Our yarn bowls have a 'swirl' and two holes. Thread your yarn through the 'swirl' and you can use the holes to store your needles when not in use.
- Combining Style and Function. Our yarn bowl pottery combines style and function! Each yarn bowl and leather handle is individually hand made in Wales. Each bowl fully functional as a yarn bowl, but is also decorative and beautiful piece of Stoneware pottery.
