Our unique ceramic yarn bowls with our distinctive and much-loved leather handles are back in stock! These bowls are also known as wool bowls or knitting bowls.
The bowls are individually hand thrown by a ceramist in North Wales to the unique FelinFach design. They are made in two colours of clay, white and grey which creates the swirled effect. Finished with a colour glaze around the top and the inside of the bowl. Once complete the traditional vegetable tanned leather handles, leather sourced in England, are made and finished by hand at the FelinFach Dye Studio.
The bowls are each made by hand and therefore unique! there may be slight variations in glaze or size (never smaller) to the photos on the website.
Approx size of ceramic yarn bowl: 13 cms diameter and 11 cms tall. To the top of the leather handle, it is 26 cms tall.
A yarn bowl is a small, round bowl with a swirl opening on one side and often some additional holes. It is used to hold yarn in place while knitting or crocheting. our yarn bowls are made of ceramic, and they come in a variety of colours and styles.
The purpose of a yarn bowl is to keep yarn from rolling around, tangling, or getting dirty. The swirl opening allows the yarn to feed smoothly through the bowl as you work, while the holes can be used to store needles or crochet hooks. Yarn bowls can also be used to store works-in-progress, when you are not working on them.
If you are a knitter or crocheter, I highly recommend using a yarn bowl. It is a simple and affordable tool that can make a big difference in your knitting or crocheting experience.
