Learn how to hand dye protein fibres (animal fibres such as sheep wool, alpaca, yak and silk) or cellulose fibres (plant fibres such as cotton, linen, hemp and bamboo) using natural dyes only - no synthetic dyes.
The craft courses and workshops are a hands-on learning experience using ancient natural dyes such as Madder, Weld, and Cochineal, to name a few, in their natural form as well as extract. You will leave with the knowledge to successfully dye yarn and fabrics with lasting colour to use in your projects at home.

FelinFach Dye Studio
All our craft courses and workshops are held in our purpose designed and self-contained FelinFach Dye Studio. We also use the Dye Studio to hand dye all the yarn, cotton, silk and wool scarves that are for sale on our website. Perhaps it doesn't need to be said again, but just in case we only use natural dye colours - no synthetic dyes are used.
In the Craft Courses Diary are bookable courses from March to October 2023. We are flexible on dates and if the bookable dates do not suit you, please email with your desired dates for a course between February and November 2023 and we'll do our best to arrange - Contact Us.

5 Stars. Debra C. said on 12 Nov 2022, "I am now hooked after a super day at Felin Fach, I have never tried dying fiber but have always wanted to have a go. Karen was so very nice and extremely knowledgeable and made me feel at ease. The work area was outstanding. I came away with some wonderful, dyed yarn and fabric a file with all the information required to have a go myself. Highly recommend Felin Fach."
