How to Use a Wax Melts Burner

A wax melts burner is designed to warm or heat wax melts and release their fragrance. They come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and materials, but they all work in the same basic way.

Every wax melts burner has a heat source, such as an unscented tealight candle or electricity, which heats up a metal or ceramic dish. The dish is filled with wax melts, and as they warm up and melt, they release their fragrance into your room, space or home.

Wax melts burners are a popular way to fragrance a home without the smoke and mess of candles. They are also a more affordable option than candles, as a single wax melt can last for several hours.

Different Types of Wax Melts Burners:

• Tealight burner: This is the simplest type of wax melts burner and in many ways the best. It consists of a metal or ceramic dish that is designed to hold an unscented tealight candle. The tealight candle heats up the dish, which melts the wax melts. The tealights also provide a flickering flame and create a relaxing ambience that no type of electric wax melts warmer can provide.
• Electric warmer: This type of burner uses an electric coil to heat up the dish. This is a more convenient option than a tealight burner, as you do not have to worry about replacing the tealights.

How to Use a Wax Melts Burner, or Electric Wax Melts Warmer

Every wax melts burner has two parts.

• a heating element which will warm the wax melts, and
• a dish where you place your wax melts.

Place your chosen wax melt with its fragrance in the dish on top of your burner. Start with one wax melt and if that doesn't provide enough fragrance, try adding one more.

Turn on your electric wax warmer, or if more traditionally, light your tealight and place it in the bottom of your burner. The heat, be it electric, or a flame, will begin to melt your wax and fragrance will consequently be released into the room.

When you've had enough of your wax melt, you simply turn off your electric burner or blow out the tealight (we recommend using a wick snuffer for safety) and you can allow the wax to harden before using again. Once your wax starts to lose its scent you simply remove and replace with a fresh wax melt.

Soy Wax Tealights

Unscented soy wax tealight candles are great for creating a lovely ambience in any room or home. We use natural, sustainable soy wax for our tealight wax which is vegan, contains no animal products and it is not tested on animals. The tealight casing and our packaging are fully recyclable.

Tea lights with no fragrance, 38mm diameter by 19mm tall.  Burn time ~4 hours, holds around 20g of wax, perfect for wax melt burners.

Candle Safety

It is always important to treat your soy wax candles and wax melts safely and with care. Please note the follow candle care advice... 

• Never leave a burning candle unattended.
• Place candles on a stable surface away from flammable objects.
• Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.
• Extinguish candles before going to bed or leaving the house.
• Do not place candles too close together.
