We are an independent UK yarn shop and offer indie hand dyed yarns, an alternative to mass-produced yarns. Our yarns provide high-quality natural fibres with stunning colour combinations and exceptional character. We support Indie Dyer Magazine supplements, such as in The Knitter Magazine, and have done so for many years.

Indie Dyers

We are an Indie dyers who hand dye yarn in unique and limited-edition colourways. We make our indie dyed yarn in small batches, or even micro batches, in Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK, and all yarn is dyed using only natural dyes. There really are no exceptions this, only natural dyes are used.

The colours from indie dyed yarn are enthralling. Indie dyed yarns may be repeated but they can never be exactly the same! The natural dyeing process will depend on where the dyestuff was grown, how and when it was harvested, the fibres being dyed, and the method of application we use. Our hand dyed yarn is dyed in small batches by the owner of this website from Welsh and UK yarn together with some specialty fibres. Each batch is hand dyed using ethically-sourced natural dye extracts.

In addition to making indie hand dyed yarn, we offer natural dye craft courses and workshops.
