Hand Dyed Yarn - Sock Merino Yak

Hand dyed in small batches using Natural botanical dye. A soft and luxurious sock yarn the blend of yarns has created a grey and cream base that has taken the dye beautifully  producing a subtle heathered effect yarn with lovely depth of colour.  

Blackberry is pure luxury in a blend of 50% Yak 50% Silk.  Soft with a stunning depth of colour and lustre. 50g/200m

Yak Yarn has similar properties to other protein fibers, including breathability and static-resistance.

Recommended needle size: 2.0mm - 4.0mm depending on the fabric you require for your project.

For socks: 2.0mm - 2.5mm

For sweaters: 2.75mm - 3.5mm

For shawls: 3.75mm - 4mm (creates a loose drapey fabric)
