Cohana - Glass Head Pins in Sakura

A beautiful cherry wood box, celebrating cherry blossom season. The rectangular box contains 20 pretty pink and yellow glass headed pins. It is fastened with a rubber sash finished with a Mizuhiki knot.

The Mizuhiki knots are a traditional Japanese art form made from a special cord which is made from starched rice paper - this is then painted or wrapped with silk or plastic to add colour. It was originally used as a form of gift wrapping and each type of knot has a special meaning.

The pins are made in Hiroshima and are smooth and sharp.
