10 Facts about our Wool and Yarn

1. All our yarn is hand dyed in Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK and is dyed only with natural dyes.
2. This hand dyed yarn is made in small batches - nothng is mass-produced.
3. No two skeins of naturally dyed yarn will be exactly the same, part of the beauty of a hand made product. Knitting with these yarns requires some alternating of the skeins to achieve an even effect over your whole knitting project. Your project will become one of a kind!
4. We usually have a selection of undyed yarn to knit in the natural colours of the wool or to dye the wool yourself.
5. Almost all our yarn is Welsh Yarn or UK Yarn. We usually have some specialty yarns such as Yak.

6. Welsh Yarn - Farm to Yarn in Wales. Our Welsh yarn is sourced from farms and small holdings in Wales and is washed, carded and spun in a Welsh mill.The whole process from farm to yarn is in Wales.
7. Our Welsh yarn does include wool from 'non-native' Welsh animals, for exmaple, Alpaca. However, these animlas have been bred on a Welsh farm and have lived on farms in Wales. This is wool from Wales!
8. Our UK yarn includes yarn called Wooltrace. All these yarns are traceable from farms and farmers in England and are spun in a mill in Yorkshire.
9. We can dye to order if you require specific amount of yarns in a particular colour.
10. Our yarn is shipped to you in eco-friendly, plastic free packaging which is biodegradeable and home compostable.
