FelinFach is going to the Cardiff Craft Festival in November 2019. Whilst FelinFach is primarily an on-line Shop which is 'open' 24/7, every day of the year, it also visits numerous festivals and craft fairs, all over the UK.
Formerly, Made by Hand, Cardiff, Cardiff Craft Festival is the finest contemporary craft event in Wales. It is held at the iconic City Hall, Cardiff which is located in the heart of Cardiff’s civic centre. It is an area of impressive buildings, landscaped gardens and broad tree-lined avenues. A mere 'stones throw' from Cardiff castle, it is also within walking distance of Cardiff's top shopping, hotel and restaurant locations and of course its international rugby stadium. An invitation only event, FelinFach is proud to be selected for this event and will show its Welsh blankets, hand dyed yarn and hand dyed scarves
This majestic building offers a spacious venue for this festival. It will feature over 135 makers of highest quality selling directly to the public. The 135 plus makers will be showing a wide variety of top quality handmade products. These products include ceramics to leather, glass to metal and pottery to textiles, and many more. Plus there are workshops for adults and children, lectures, demonstrations, live music and a cafe. Adult workshops must be booked in advance. For full details go to www.craftfestival.co.uk .
To become an exhibitor, all craftsmen/women have to apply and have their products judged. Their products need to be of a suitable quality, to be handmade and not mass produced. Accordingly, FelinFach is proud to be selected (for the second year running) to be an exhibitor in the textiles category. FelinFach's handmade products and its unique designs in Welsh blankets are well known and well respected by the industry. We will be showing our naturally hand dyed yarn, hand dyed cotton, silk and wool scarves, handmade books and bags and many other handmade products. We also have a range of Welsh blankets designed by and unique to FelinFach, including the iconic Welsh Tapestry Blankets.
For information, the opening times of the Show are 10.00am to 5.00pm on Friday and Saturday (1st and 2nd November and 10.00am to 4.00pm on Sunday 43rd November. Cardiff City Hall is in Cathays Park, Cardiff, CF10 3ND.

Owain Glyndŵr Day, 16th September, commemorates the last native Welshman to hold the title Prince of Wales. Today, he is a figure of mass culture in Wales, with statues, flags and monuments alongside pubs and street names remembering him. He is possibly one of the greatest Welshmen of all time if not the greatest. His name is still remembered and revered today.
Wool blankets and throws and traditional hand weaving are at the heart of FelinFach's ethos of "Natural, Traditional, Handmade". All of our wool blankets are traditionally hand woven in Wales on age old looms using the skills and methods of times gone by. Whilst the weaving methods are traditional, our designs, patterns and colours range from not only the traditional but also the contemporary.
