We are delighted to announce a new product range, handmade candles, wax melts and tea lights, hand poured by us in the Felinfach Chandlery Studio in Pembrokeshire, Wales. We also stock candle wick trimmers and snuffers which are a perfect accompaniment to your handmade candles, tealights and Wax Melts.
Candle Accessories to Compliment your Candles
All handmade candle lovers need a selection of accoutrements or accessories to enhance the perfect ambience of your home fragrance experience. Candle accessories, like wick trimmers and snuffers can be used to make your candles last longer, or burn cleaner, but can also keep their fragrance smelling as good as the first burn.
Candle Wick Trimmers
Our stainless steel candle wick trimmers are great for all types of wicks, especially wood and larger outdoor candle wicks. An elegant addition to any home fragrance collection. Made of stainless steel for long life and durability.
- Every time you burn your candle, start by using your wick trimmer. Trimming your candle wick is important as the longer the wick, the quicker your candle will burn.
- On average, your candles should burn for up to 25% longer with a properly trimmed wick!
- So, before you light your candle, always trim the wick to ¼ inch (half a centimetre) and remove any debris left in the wax pool such as wick trimmings or matches.
- Never trim your candle wick whilst it is alight!!
Candle Snuffers
Our stainless steel Candle Snuffer will safely extinguish your candles. Great for safely extinguishing both wood wicks and cotton wicks. An elegant addition to any home fragrance collection. We recommend for your enjoyment of your candle that you don't blown out the candle flame.
- Whilst the wax is still liquid, extinguish your candle with a candle snuffer to completely stop the wick from burning.
- This will avoid splashing hot wax all over the place.
- It will stop debris from the wick to falling into the candle
- It will stop the wick from smoking for some time ruining the fragrance from your candle.

Candle Snuffers - A bit of History
Candle snuffers were invented back in the eighteenth century apparently by a Christopher Pinchbeck. Originally they were called candle extinguishers or a candle doubter. Today, they are universally known a sa candle snuffer.
A Chandlery?
..."a chandlery is a handmade maker and seller of tallow, wax candles, and also usually soap". A chandlery was originally the office in a wealthy medieval household responsible for wax, candles and soaps as well as the room in which the candles were kept.
Handmade Candles
Our handmade candles are made in small batches using the finest quality 100% natural soy wax, infused with a blend of premium high-grade fragrance & essential oil recipes. Fragrance memory is quite a strong and evocative sense and we have named our candles for a feeling or place that we think the fragrance captures.
Our candles are poured in a heavy bottomed straight sided matt Grey or matt White glass container topped with an oak lid that can also be used as a coaster for your candle when burning. We use FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) wood wicks as they are sustainable and have a lovely soft crackling sound when burning. Each candle is packaged in a sturdy gift box that can be reused for bits and bobs or be a ready packaged gift for a friend or loved one!
We do not use dyes, parabens or additives and our products are rated vegan.

Our company, FelinFach Natural Textiles is located in the heart of the Preseli area of Pembrokeshire near to Boncath. We design Welsh blankets and the iconic Welsh Tapestry blankets which are hand woven at Welsh mills. We also design and make natural hand dyed yarn, cotton, silk and wool scarves are all available in our yarn store and shop. We also offer Welsh tartans, Sheepskin Rugs, Gift Cards and tools and books for crafters and knitters - Cocoknits, Laine, Amirisu and Making to name a few! Our candles, reed diffusers, wax melts and tealights are hand poured by us. Lastly, craft courses on hand dyeing with 100% natural dyes in the purpose designed FelinFach Dye Studio.
